InterAct Public Safety Systems utilizes Project Management Institute's (PMI) best practices and standards for managing projects. Our Project Management Group offers advanced project management services for complete PSAP installations, and brings a wealth of expertise in telephone, radio and auxiliary hardware installation, training and maintenance. InterAct Project Managers have years of experience in all facets of the public safety industry and are the central point of contact for InterAct system installation.

Approach and Methodology

Project Definition & Planning Phase

Encompasses the definition/clarification of the scope and planning stage:

• Conduct formal review of project scope, deliverables, and timeline
• Develop Statement of Work
• Develop staged delivery plan with key milestones
• Define roles and responsibilities
• Establish project metrics
• Establish project management and assurance processes
• Conduct risk assessment
• Document Technical Environment
• Finalize project plan

Project Execution & Control Phase

Site infrastructure preparations, data collection and conversions, software enhancements and customizations, pilot testing, software acceptance test, training, and delivery of the system solutions to customer.  Project activities include:

• Forecast & report progress to ensure proactive project controls
• Implement scope and change management processes
• Manage end-to-end delivery products and services
• Meet with customer and project team regularly to discuss & resolve project issues

Project Closure, Evaluation & Handover Phase

Final acceptance of the products and services and closure of the project:

• Verify that deliverables meet acceptance criteria
• Handover to service delivery and support organizations
• Customer Satisfaction Survey
• Project Closure & Signoff
