InterActCADwebEasy Information Sharing with Backup, Remote and Neighboring Centers![]() InterActCADweb has been revolutionized with new features allowing for InterAct's computer aided dispatch (CAD) system to be accessed from remote locations, sub-stations and backup centers. InterActCADweb is easily accessible from remote locations that have an Internet connection. With this capability, emergency services personnel are able to view incident or event information in InterActCAD remotely before arriving on the scene of a CAD call. Communication centers require back up centers for emergency situations, having web access to InterActCAD in these centers allow agencies to save money. Non-emergency calls can be viewed from these InterActCADweb stations where a desk officer, for example, can enter calls for service. Surrounding agencies to a 9-1-1 call center can benefit from the InterActCADweb services. When an incident needs to be relayed to other agencies, traditionally this data would be given via phone or fax. With InterActCADweb , the incident details can be immediately viewed by the other agencies with access privileges, allowing updates to be viewed instantly. Emergency operations centers (EOCs) can also receive great use out of InterActCADweb , as this allows them to know what to expect and prepare for an emergency situation. In addition, InterAct offers a public webCAD, InterActCADpwc, enabling agencies to publish real-time data to a public website to keep the media and general public informed of incident status. This reduces incoming inquiries that tie up calltaker and dispatcher time. |
