InterAct Public Safety Systems Completes Acquisition of Law Enforcement Division of BIO-key International

Popular Public Safety Mobile Data Systems, including MobileCop^® and PocketCop^® and InfoExchange^®, integrated into the InterAct Connections Framework™ under InterActMobile

Winston Salem, NC – December 9, 2009 -- InterAct Public Safety Systems, a leading provider of safety and security software used by government agencies as well as private sector businesses, today announced the completion of its acquisition of BIO-key International’s Law Enforcement Division, including MobileCop®, PocketCop® and InfoExchange®. All products are now wholly owned and operate within the InterAct Connections Framework™ under InterActMobile.

The InterActMobile suite of mobile data solutions provides scalable, flexible and portable access to mission-critical information on both laptop and handheld platforms. These solutions keep law enforcement and other public safety professionals connected, wherever they are and whatever their duty – car, bike, horse or foot patrol.

InterActMobile dispatch products provide mission-critical information to emergency response personnel, and provide dispatchers with instantaneous updates from the field. Using InterActPocketCop on a smartphone or InterActMobileCop or InterActMobileRescue on a laptop, law enforcement personnel, firemen, and EMT units can receive CAD dispatches and associated information via secure electronic messages while en route or on-scene and communicate with each other, reducing reliance on voice communication.

From a single query, InterActMobile solutions automatically initiate searches of multiple data sources, including FBI and state law enforcement and motor vehicles systems. With the optional InfoExchange solution, InterActMobile users can also obtain relevant data from InterActRMS and other local agency databases. InterActMobile is certified for access to the state Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) in 47 states.
