GIS 911 Mapping Software

InterAct Maps is a dynamic map display that shows caller locations from both wired and wireless sources, providing information on incidents, units, landmarks, aerial and satellite imagery, specific structure photos, and other geo-based items necessary to direct successful response through InterAct CAD or CAD legacy systems.

InterAct Geographic Information Systems

InterAct GIS was developed with first responders in mind. Not only is the system capable of pinpointing the location of a caller and/or incident, but it will also provide access to critical location information before units arrive. InterAct GIS is a dynamic map display that shows caller locations (wired and wireless), incidents, units, landmarks and any other geo-based items that can be displayed on a map. InterAct’s GIS ultimately provides users with information automatically, thus reducing response times, increasing responder safety and efficiency, and enhancing dispatcher productivity.

The InterAct Suite of Geographic Information Systems

InterAct GIS is a dynamic, easy-to-use digital mapping application that displays wired and wireless caller locations, landmarks, aerial and satellite imagery, specific structure photos and other geo-based items necessary to dispatch and direct a quick and efficient incident response. InterAct GIS offers detailed feature information that can be utilized in creating a more productive dispatch environment to increase call center efficiency. It does so by providing a physical view of incident locations, surrounding structures and aerial and structure photos.

Developed specifically for the public safety industry, InterAct GIS interfaces seamlessly with an E911 telephone system. GIS supports all industry-leading map formats, including ESRI. InterAct also has an in-house GIS Division that can convert other client map formats for use within the system. InterAct can also provide help in developing a GIS solution, including complete GPS mapping and addressing.

InterAct’s Automatic Vehicle Location system (AVL)
AVL monitors the position of emergency vehicles, allowing dispatchers to send the closest available unit to the incident location. It ensures that emergency response teams are ready to take immediate action in mission-critical situations. Responder AVL locations are transmitted to other field users, so that responders are always aware of other nearby units and incidents. The information is also available to dispatchers and is utilized to notify dispatchers of responder location in critical situations such as “officer needs assistance” requests. AVL may also be displayed on a tactical map in an EOC or similar location so that Command Staff is always aware of the status and location of emergency response personnel.

InterAct GIS Map Maintenance
First responders need pinpoint accuracy in maps when responding to emergencies. When people’s lives are on the line, precision is critical. But keeping maps updated in a GIS system can be a major burden and cost. Maps change each time a new house is built or a road is altered. These variables can impact the speed of fire, police, and medical teams arriving on the scene to bring critical assistance. GIS Map Maintenance ensures confidence in the GIS system with regular updates and improves emergency personnel response times.
