His close ties with leading universities and research labs give him a window into innovations in their purest form, and he cherishes the chance to work with the smartest minds in business, whether first-timers or Nobel-Prize winners. His involvement with on-demand software companies and Cleantech began years before investing in those areas became a mainstream event. Warren joined Foundation Capital in 2002 with more than 25 years experience in the software industry, including time as president and CEO of four public and private software companies. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Asera, a real-time software solutions provider. Previously, Warren served as president and CEO of Prism Solutions during the company's transition from data warehousing tools provider to business intelligence application deliverer. Prior to that, Warren was president of SQRIBE Technologies (now Hyperion) and earlier, president and CEO of SMI. Warren has held numerous other senior executive positions at Next Software (Apple), Continuum (Computer Sciences Corporation) and Dun & Bradstreet Software. He holds a BS from Western Illinois University. Eric Chin, Director ![]() Alison Davis, Director ![]() Alison Davis is a Managing Director of Belvedere Capital Partners II LLC. Previously, Ms. Davis served as Chief Financial Officer at Barclays Global Investors, a leading institutional investment management firm, with over 3 trillion dollars of assets under management supported by operations in North America, Europe and Asia. Ms. Davis has 15 years experience as a consultant working in the banking and financial services sector on issues of strategy, revenue growth, cost reduction, and credit quality. From 1993 - 2000, she was a senior partner and Practice Leader with A.T. Kearney in the banking and financial services sector, and led the west coast practice for the firm. Ms. Davis was a member of the North American Management Committee. From 1984 - 1993, Ms. Davis was a leader of McKinsey and Company focusing on the banking and financial services sectors and working closely with clients in Europe and North America. She is a Director of LECG, Les Concierges, Presidio Bank and Belvedere SoCal. Ms. Davis obtained a B.A. with honors and a Masters degree in Economics from Cambridge University in England, and received a combined M.B.A from Harvard Business School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Michael H. Forster, Director Mike began his career with IBM in 1964, rising through the ranks from sales representative to Division Vice President during his 2 decades with the company. In 1988, he became president and general manager of international operations at Prime/Computervision. He resided for 3 years in Munich, Germany, and his worldwide responsibilities included all of Europe, Asia, Canada, and South America. In April 1993, he became president and CEO of MicroDecisionware, a privately held company in Boulder, Colorado, specializing in enterprise middleware solutions. In April 1994, he completed the merger of MicroDecisionware with Sybase, Inc., remaining with Sybase as senior vice president of worldwide field operations. In 1998, Mike joined the Internet Capital Group as a Managing Director and has served on numerous private company boards over the past 10 years. Mike now resides in his home town of Louisville, MS, and is active in civic affairs in both his community and state. He is an avid pilot with nearly 2000 hours of time in the cockpit. He flies his own airplane and uses it extensively in both his consulting and philanthropic work. Education: Mississippi State University, B.S., electrical engineering Jeffrey Hillebrand Director ![]() Jeffrey Hillebrand is Chief Operating Officer at NorthShore University HealthSystem. Since joining the company in 1979 he has worked in a variety of capacities culminating in his position as COO. NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) is an integrated healthcare system that includes Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, and Skokie Hospitals, NorthShore Medical Group (comprising 75 medical offices and facilities), NorthShore Home Services, NorthShore Research Institute and NorthShore Foundation. NorthShore is the only Illinois hospital named as one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals® 13 times. NorthShore is in the top five percent of all multi-specialty institutions that receive funding from the National Institutes of Health. Mr. Hillebrand is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and for five years served as a Regent. He is a former member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and a current member of the World Presidents’ Organization. He was a board member of Neoforma, Inc. serving as its Compensation Committee Chairman. Mr. Hillebrand served as a Commissioner of the Certification Commission of Healthcare Information Technology, CCHIT, and on the board of the National Association of Healthcare Information Technology, NAHIT. He is currently a board member of SilkRoad technology. Mr. Hillebrand holds an MHSA from the University of Michigan and a BA from Dartmouth College. He served as an administrative resident at Glenbrook Hospital in 1977 and completed an administrative fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. Brian McCarthy, Director Robert Zollars, Director ![]() Robert Zollars is Chairman and CEO of Vocera. He joined the company in May 2007 and has 30 years of experience leading healthcare and technology organizations. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of Wound Care Solutions, the leading operator of outsourced chronic wound care centers. For six years prior to that, Mr. Zollars was Chairman and CEO of Neoforma, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEOF), a leading healthcare technology company focused on the supply chain that serviced 1,200 hospital and 465 supplier customers. Before Neoforma, he was EVP for Cardinal Health, Inc. (NYSE: CAH), a $75 billion healthcare product and service company, where he was responsible for five wholly owned subsidiaries: Pyxis Corporation, Owen Healthcare, Medicine Shoppe International, Cardinal International, and Cardinal's information technology businesses. Mr. Zollars came to Cardinal from Baxter International (NYSE: BAX), where he led four different operating divisions ranging in size from $100 million in revenue to over $5 billion in revenue. He started his career at American Hospital Supply Corporation which was acquired by Baxter in 1985. Mr. Zollars has an MBA in Finance from John F. Kennedy University and graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Marketing from Arizona State University. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Advisors for the Center for Services Leadership at Arizona State University. He is also a Director of VWR International, and Diamond Foods.
